    sure can.

my indash comes with a black box thing..

Audio (red & white) and Video rca's for AUX1, then the same thing for AUX2.

You can split the video again for both, and it will play the source thats powered up at the time, as long as thats the AUX port selected..

    or something, lol.

WHOA!!!!!!! lets take a step back.... ;w

Yes in theory you can run them into a Y cable, as long as one unit is always off the signal will indeed travel to the screen unhindered.

BUT be aware that if both are accidently on, you run the risk of damaging all 3 pieces of equipment due to feedback. Also, the chances for feedback, ground loops, & video & audio noise are very high doing it this way.

There is a great little switch box from Sony called the XA-39MKII roughly $35-40 it can switch 2 different sources into one output based on which unit was turned on last. It has right & left input. This would only switch audio or video but not stereo audio & video.

A cheap option is to go to radio shack get a basic "passive" video switcher that works off signal at the RCA.... again, turn one video source on, it passes the first signal, turn on video #2 it swithes to #2 until it is shut off or #1 is turned off then back on.

    great info Rob!

Just as you answered, thats all I was explaining to Al.

It can be as simple as just a Y, or like you said a video switcher. If its JUST for video, id just use a Y.

Rob, what kinda video amp do you recomend? I have an accelvison that can split up to 7 video rca's.. Do you know of anyone that makes a splitter of more then 7?

I personally like Icon TV's stuff & Farenhiets too..

Icon has a 7-out then add a 4- or 7-out for more you loose one out of the first 7 to drive the other 7-out... small price if you have video-mania on the brain.

I llike Icon because they use a decoupled circuit & have the cleanest amplifier I have found.
