Im assuming you will be using some type of grills to cover the subs since they are exposed....you wouldnt want any kids poking their crayons and pencils in there!

    Once again...Nice job!
I would have never thought that you can fit two 12" subs and still keep everything intact without building a custom fiberglass enclosure! Way to use the ol melon!

Yes I thought about the grill's for that same reason.I'v already started to look for some ,but they tell me It will be hard to find for this older style jl.I may just look into some of those chrome flame grill's and paint them black.

Be aware pretty much only the JL grills will clear the Jl Speakers...

LOTS of excursion on the -7 series woofers & JL wont warranty speakers with "chaffed" surrounds from hitting shallow grills..

Other wise you may have to make your own grills. Good thing is the JL's look very cool & are paintable to match the interior.

Killer. That is the best idea I have seen thus far. Good job man. Please post some pics when you get it finished. I have two tens that I need to stuff into my truck and you just gave me some good ideas. Hopefully you have some more pics of your build you can share with us.

    Speaking of more pics...

Would you mind me asking for a template of the back part of the box? It looks perfect for hiding 2 10's. I have the sliding window motor behind there so I couldn't use the whole setup. Just thought I'd ask. I'd be willing to give ya some money for it (within reason).

Hey George in your '03... you could add a notch in that area to clear the motor & still maintain all that airspace couldn't ya?
