    Holy moly - kicker 18" soloX - 5000 watts

Man.... you'd have to set a power pole in the bed to feed the amp for this thing.

On another note... Anyone have experience with the square kicker solobarics? I'm considering an 8" for the truck.

The kicker square solo's arevery impresive. Nicely built in the L7 series. The new L5 are staped baskets not cast like the L7's...

If you are going this route, be sure to get the 8L7 & follow Kicker's box specs to the letter.

Also, a 1-2" thick front baffle is pretty much mandatory. meaning the panel the woofer mounts to needs to be at least 1-2" to support the forward motionof the sub.

The restof the enclosure needs to be at least 3/4" material, 1" material being the prefered thickness.

What does all this mean? a decent sized box overal to acomodate the correct internal volume & using the proper wall thickness.

    Nice woofers, special build needs.
