    Embarrassed Polishing ??

    Rob,

Silly question. I just ordered a Matco mini Polisher kit.(RL730K) The price is not too bad $129.95 for the kit. Comes with a mini air sander(2500RPM) and some of the pads.

My question is... Will this do what I want it to do? I want to LEARN to polish little things for myself. I don't know anyone that does that kind of thing around here..... and since you are the "King of HD Bling" I figured I would ask.

Yes it will. I'll probably buy that little ba***rd myself, it's pretty cool. Also check with Eastwood Co. for mini (1/4" drive) polisher felt bob's and wheels. They also have a " manifold polishing kit " which comes with felt bobs, wheels and different grades of sandpaper rolls. I'm pretty sure it also has all of the compounds you'll need for polishing. It's a great kit and pretty cheap too.

Let me know how it works out

    Rob,

Well It seems that the Snap-on man knows more about polishing then the Matco man. ;Y I bought a Blue point DA, and there Polisher. He is going to get me ALL pads and paper I will need. I will have more questions for ya when I get the stuff. If you don't mind

Not at all. If you can get one or if you already have one, a straight air grinder will also come in very handy.

Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. I have the perfect candidate for the class too. I have this all aluminum LS-1 that is really dull. I'm sure by the end of the class, it would look so much better...

If I have time I'll do a pictorial of polishing parts. I have a few parts left to do and I might as well take some snap shots.
