    01's and Supercharging

I'm looking for a 2002 DSG. I've been out of the buying loop for a while, so I'm hoping someone can help with this question. What are the differences between the 01 and the 02. I'm guessing the obvious, the striping, the supercharger and probably fuel injection and pump. But other than that, what am I missing? Also, would it be worthwhile to buy an 01 and add the supercharger? Seems like it would save a few grand. Anyone know? Thanks.

definately alot more hassle to get a 01 and supercharge it to try and get the same results as a 02, and in the end might run more money. Its alot harder than it would seem to upgrade.
I'm not the expert on this though, so i'll let the others fill ya in on the rest

Plus you must consider that most '01s did not come with an adequate tranny to handle the extra power. (4R100)

Also you will lose any warranty on the '01 which will be hard to cover up compared to mods you will do on the '02 if you want even MORE power (like a pulley, predator, ftvb, etc...)

I was in the same problem as you...but I already had an '01 and wanted the S/C so I opted for another truck (an '03 HD ) I'm happy!

Good luck! My recommendation is go with an '02!
