    Any ideas?

after lowering my truck 4/6 and going up to a 295/40 tire, they rub fender pretty bad up front, any body got any ideas that i could use on lifting it about 1 inch without swapping out any components like control arms, springs, etc. I was thinking about the air bags that firestone makes that fit inside of the spring and what i would do is just keep alittle air in them just enough to lift it about an inch. here is a picture of what i am talking about, i dont see that they make them for our application, does anybody know if anybody else makes something similar to this setup? or what are your thought on running air shocks up front?

Those springs done provide "lift" they just provide additional spring rate to the spring.

If you really want to go up. ide suggest just putting some different springs in it.

yea they would, but ride quality was greatly suffer, I dont know if they make air shocks that would fit your front application though, best thing to do is to get another stock spring and dont cut so much off like you said above.

same thing i was thinking, i was actually thinking about going with a skinnier tire up front but keep the same hieght, but the whole set is pretty much brand new.

i just bought a set of stock HD springs from 'chrome' what i will do is just cut off 1/2 coil on those instead of the 1 coil that i cut off of my stock ones to give me one inch higher than i am now.

You could get a thicker spring hat, rubber isolator part on top of spring, from a lift shop to get about an inch of lift on the front.

Air springs wont work.. they go where our shock goes inside the spring... the air spring is for a 4wd or older 2wd where the shock is outside the coil spring.

I would go back to stock height coils or swap the entire front setup out to air-ride.

Thanks JT. i'm having the same issue with my 4/6, front tires rub a little, just not sure i want to raise it. i'm in need of new tires, maybe i'll try a smaller tire up front? maybe after you post pics, i'll change my mind?
