    02 favor needed

I am trying to double check and see if the 02 leaf springs are indeed an inch shorter in stance then the 03s. I have Belltech 2" drop shackles but looking for a little more. If you have these please do me a huge favor.

Can someone please go out and measure the distance from the ground to the bottom of the fender well straight above the axle and from the wheel center to the same place.

Heres what I am after, I want to drop the truck in the front an inch, as well as level the back with it when im done. What other ideas might someone have to get this done?
I want a little lower truck. Only an inch in the front and 4 in the back I think wil be level.
If i go with a 1 inch drop coil up front combined with an 02 leaf spring and 3" shackles, or a hanger ill sit level... any advice?

Holeshot I went with a Western chassis lower control arm up front for another inch.In back i went with with there adjustable hangers and shackles .Truck sits lower and level and still retains a nice ride. Not sure if you want to go this route ,but just thought i would put it out there.

The kit was a 3/4 ,but i didn't need the 2 inch spring up front. So i just ordered there lower control arm for 1 inch more up front. In back i think it went down 3 inch that's were it looks level to me.Can go lower in back one more inch if I want.No c-notch in this kit any thing lower ,and your going to need one.

Sorry anything lower than 4 inch and you will need a c-notch.

with the HD though the 1 " drop you got from the control arm would have came from a 2" drop control arm.

Then for the rear, the 3" you got out back would only be 2" on my 03 as they sit a bit taller.

if they are 2" drop control arms and you use the stock springs you should get 2". the HD's get the drop out of the front coils and rear leafs. so if you dont change the coil out and add a 2" drop contorl arm it should still drop it 2" over stock since you are still keeping the 1" stock drop spring. if you put 2" drop springs for a regular f150 in the HD though, then they'd only be 1" drop springs for our trucks over stock.

same for the rear. if the 03's do indeed sit an inch higher, if you add a shackle/hanger setup it will still give you the advertised drop since its not changing out the leafs, but the shackles and hangers.

so 2" shackles and 2" hangers will get 4" of drop both years over that year's stock height.

kinda confusing, but hopefully it'll make sense

Let's make new threads for 02 & another for 03 drops

I have been watching and learning from these messages for a while now.
It would seem to be more clear if the two years were separated for discussions and suggestions. The two together always adds confusion
Having an 03 I'm still unsure on which set-up to use given low on funds?
Just looking for dropping 1" frnt and rear 3" and more pics
