    You have to put bed..

rail stiffners(long pieces of aluminium) under the caps, you have to give the caps a pretty good jerk to get them off, i only pulled them off about half way to put the stiffners in, no big deal but try to be careful as you can so you dont break all of the ears off the caps so you can reinstall them, i only broke one off of mine. Just read the instructions first and the rest is pretty basic.

    Congrats NH03Screw and CANES,
CANES, I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya.

Mine was shipped FedEx freight and was in perfect condition when I picked it up at their terminal yesterday. The boxes were even in perfect shape. No dented corners, holes, rips or anything.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Anyone hear from Kromdom?? I know he was going to pick his up from Gaylords today.

    Wink got LIDS?????

if you're happy with your SPEEDSTURR, clap you hands...CLAP, CLAP.
if you're happy with your SPEEDSTURR, clap you hands...CLAP, CLAP...well, you guys know how the rest of the chant goes.

Arrived at LB around 10:45, install began around 11:10 and was done around 12:15. Sadly, no one allowed in service area due to INSURANCE crap...so no pix.
Had an unexpected visit by 2 tone, STS for a while and snapped a few pix of the store front and more (will post pix later).

Here is the BEST part: after install, JAVIER hands me the keys and I get ready for the onramp. Then I glance at the invoice which read $1200;c . Quick U-turn back to Paul only to find out that I WAS NEVER CHARGED for anything...NADA, ZILCH, ZERO. Paul thought retail store would charge me, retail thought Paul already did. I also thought I was already charged when I went last 20FEB (got receipts & invoice).

So this could have been the GREATEST GB of all time...FREEBIE. But I don't think i could have weasled this one (for one, he has a file copy of my address & card #). Don't know if accounting would have ever found out though...or for how long?

Hmmm, guess I'll never know. Guys, SPEEDSTURRS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!

    some POSERS tried

    to join the GB!!!
Funny thing is, they were asking for lids for non- FORD trucks (TOY Tundra, Nissan, etc.) Paul just politely laughed at them and said NO;t

Congrats, Kromdom!!! Glad it all worked out. Don't expect to get away with a freebie though. I got my invoice and charge to my credit card the same day I got home from picking it up at the terminal. At least mine was billed correctly.

Put mine on last night. Think I have to move the bed back a little since right now the end of the lid hangs a little further over the bed than it want (about 3/4 inch).

It wasn't too difficult too install except they left out a couple steps in their directions.

    Here's what I noticed...

    1. Make sure to put the spacers (look like wheel weights) on the clamps. They have double sided tape. I saw no mention of this in the instructions.

    2. There is a supplement paper to insert the aluminum stiffeners under the bed caps. The bed caps just pop off but be careful as you can break the plastic clips. I lost one but it didn't affect the cap going back on.

    3. There also is reference to spacers on the supplement paper. They attach under and over the plastic bed cap. I tried them and found they didn't work for me so I removed them. If someone else figures it out let me know but mine seems to be on okay now without them.

Otherwise is was pretty straightforward. I have to do a few little adjustments today and maybe tackle moving the bed back a little.
