    Gaylord GB-comments, concerns, updates, etc

    Guys,
Since the GB officially ended 01MAR (MON), I thought an AFTER-GB thread would be nice for people to share:
    1. if you have already received/installed your lid (PICTURES welcome).
    2. If you already have a SHIP DATE and want to share the GOOD NEWS
    3. If you are dying from ANXIETY, TORMENT FROM WAITING and want to vent (need a CYBER hug)
    4. Horror stories at the shipping terminal (j/k MRBLUEOVAL).
    5. Questions about install & general comments, questions, updates, etc.

Will also use this thread to catch up with buyers who were missed in the list below:

    kromdom,

I just talked with Tony at Gaylord and he informed me that my lid is done and will be shipped out on the 4th. Since I live in Arizona it should be delivered to my door on the 8th or 9th. I have already replaced my plastic bed liner with a really nice BedRug liner to finish up the look of the bed.

    Angry you are cruel!!!

Have we not suffered enough? And you just had to rub it in did ya? lol, j/k
If my luck holds up, I should be sharing your joy come FRI. I am still convinced that you (or MRBLUEOVAL) got the speedsturr that had my name on it.
For being first to get the lid, you get:drink:

Bro, I admire your SELF-CONTROL. I'd be flying out of my office if I got a call like you did.
Hope the GOOD NEWS keeps coming

is your lid being shipped to your residence?

If not TOO LATE, maybe you can request that you go to the shipper's terminal instead. Then you inspect it there.

Otherwise, contact Gaylords and check if you can get any info (ship date, ETA, shipper, tracking #, etc.). Maybe you can call the shipper ahead of time to narrow the window of their delivery..then you can plan on being home to inspect it ........PRIOR TO ACCEPTING!!!! Good luck.

I know what you're saying Kromdom, however, I'm torn...when I spoke to Paul we were going to have it shipped to my house and I was going to make arrangements to be there to inspect it.

I guess there must have been some confusion since it was shipped to a terminal. Not a big deal really except now I have to load it in the back of my truck and drive it home (about 40 miles). I'm really not looking forward to that part since it will be my responsibility once it is on my truck...ugh!

Lots of rope, bungie cords, etc. to keep that thing tied down in the back for sure.

    Unhappy hope all goes well

Also bring some packing tape to close up the box after you inspect it. And if you have some, CUSHIONS to support the box as it leans on the bed (in case you hit bumps or potholes). Don't know which one is better...freeway speeds or side streets for this kind of trip but I'm sure you'll do OK. May the force be with you, BillP. Good luck.;w
