DYNO your HD
Just wanted to check to see if anyone is interested in doing a dyno run?
A good friend of mine has a dyno shop in concord. He is willing to give a discount if we go as a group.
I will most likely be doing a run on fri.

I would be interested in that...
I'm assuming he also has ability to check A/F ratio too?

I would be interested also, what is the price for the Dyno and how many runs do you get out of it?

KC is the one who owns the dyno.
He is offering two different deals.
1st. is a sweep to check rwhp and rwtq. Also a step run for A/F.
the cost is 75$ for this test.
2nd. includes the above and a 1/4 mile run.
the cost is 100$ for this test.
KC has also requested that at least 6 trucks make it to the shop in order to get the above pricing. Normal pricing is 110$-145$ per run.
I will include myself in the six if we can't get enough people.

that is kind of alot isn't it? jc and bruce can get us a dyno in town for around $50 for three runs. we have been there before as a club

If you guys want, we can set up one of our Sat. meetings at the dyno shop and bar-b-que and stuff like we did before.....two birds with one stone.
Let me know if you want me to check on it and I'll get all the info. but I'll need a head count, first.
Have you guys sent in your registration fee for the Spring Fling?

Too pricey, last year we did a dyno in sac for 40 bucks for 3 pulls.
-
-
If there isn't any difference between the dyno's I will talk to KC about the price and see if I can get him to lower it to 50$ per pull.

how abotu $50 for 3 pulls since thats what we can get in other shops?
-

I had a chance to talk to KC. He will do 3 sweep tests and a 1/4 mile for 45$.
The other run (step test) is actually 10 pulls. That is why there was a difference in price. I will find out more info on the step test tonight and hopefully be able to give more info on this test.
Also if we are only going to do sweep tests we will be able to include more than 6 people.

JUst curious what is a 1/4 mile? does he have a track.
-
-
No track. He has a program that will simulate a 1/4 mile for his dyno.

found out more on the step test.
The step test will measure your fuel curve in 500 rpm increments.
Starting at 1500 rpm and ending at red line. Adjustments can be made to increase performance.
