Newbie here... I've seen talk only about 20s. I want to put 22s on. Is that out of the question?
22s are not out of the question. I know of at least two people on this site with 22s. One person has 24s.
There are several folk's here with 22's . You just have to watch your clearance's once you start to lower the vehicle's..And welcome we can use all the paying member's we can get.....
alot of the members with 22's go with nitto 285/35's, fits pefect and is the same O/D as stock so you can pretty much drop it as far as you want. a couple guys have had 22's with a 4/6 drop, so get your 22's and post some pics!

The kumho's have gone down in price... only $111 a tire at tirerack... it's not a bad looking tire either
Best place to buy the Toyo's or the Hankooks?
Wanted to get opinions..... I got my previous Toyo's from Kauffman at an unbelievable deal....

Lots of billet, and bunches of mods!
401.9/527.8 on dyno!
this is the cheapest i've seen the hankooks...
hankook ventus ST RHO6 275/45/20
Ahh.... But that is 275/45/20 not the 295's.....
I've been offered $237.50 per tire installed, warranty, etc, plus tax for another set of Toyo Proxes.... I will probably go with that as the cheapest I've seen the Hankooks or the Proxes S/T's was $190, plus shipping.
im runnin thr hankooks but couldnt tell you how to post a pic of them on here, but they are in my forum on ftw
Hankook Ventus RH06 285/35R22
Now only if the snow would melt so I can mount them bad boys to the rims that are next to the pile of tires down here

Details please about why the original thread poster calls the American tires badyear and brags about the unAmerican tires. The price on the Hankook's above look very high to me. TireRack sold me 285/50 and 305/50 Goodyear stock types for MUCH less than that and they are doing VERY well, even in the Michigan snow, so why are ya'll buying Asian tires for much more money? Is it because they are the only ones available in the super-low profiles or what? Is it possible ya'll are trying to justify the high prices by saying they perform much better than stock when in fact it may actually be because they are bigger or wider? I stayed with the same stock type but the bigger sizes do much better for how I use them. The 285/50 and 305/50 Goodyears are WELL worth their prices and made in the same country as the truck.
I absolutely hate my Goodyears. In the rain, these tires will do nothing but spin if given just a tiny tiny bit too much gas. I can't get traction with them at all. They just don't hook. I had a set of yokohama tires on the gmc truck I used to have, and that was a great performing tire. Now I know I'm comparing two different trucks, but with the experience I've had with Goodyear tires, I won't buy them to replace my current ones, they just don't perform. I'm sure most people here will say the same thing. I'll say that you're the first person to ever say anything good about these tires, from this board or NLOC. As far as tire sizes, most of the people who have the Hankook tires on here have the stock size.Originally posted by Danko
