Maybe you'd get better gas mileage if you were towing a Prius...it's worth a try, placebo affect ;-)

How is mileage on a 01 Non SC 5.4?
If you are asking about fuel economy you are purchasing the wrong truck. Local 12??? gentle highway 16 ish???
Probably not much better than a Supercharged one with normal driving
I have a 00 non s/c. It depends on speed and distance. I drive 70 miles round trip for work, I average about 70-75 mph, and get roughly 16 mpg, Or about 280 miles per tank. All averages, I have gotten 330 a tank. But like I said depends on how you drive.
Holy resurection.
Like stated earlier these aren't MPG trucks. Stock 02-03 maybe 15 highway and 12 or so city depending how heavy your foot is.
I went "built" after 184K and smoked a bearing. lucky to get 10-12. Waiting on B&G Racing to get the cast off his hand and going with a Whipple 2.9.
MPG, not my worry. Love the truck, looks and performance

Very simply it is not an MPG truck...but my insurance is fairly cheap.
I owned a 68' Hurst/Olds Cutlass - I was lucky if I got 6 MPG.
A friend of mine owns a 2018 McLaren - You don't but that for cheap insurance.

my mpg sucks balls. like 9mpg running ****ty. paying over 5.50/gallon
I just got back last night from a road trip of about ~600 miles round trip, Los Angeles to Las Vegas. MPG wasn't great at all, and I knew that already and expected that. Especially when it comes to trucks with V8's, let alone a S/C V8 like ours. I typically hear diesel trucks getting good MPG.
I have PP&T 6lb lower and I have gotten as much as 19 mpg highway towing a trailer.
In town with a happy foot, it's lower.
