Yes 6.0's "can" have issues. Usually if you add a tuner, you can count on doing gaskets and studs. The other weak part is the EGR system and oil cooler. The EGR can get clogged or stuck shut. The oil cooler can spring a leak. Now with all of that said, as long as you play nicely with the 6.0 and do oil changes and fuel filters when they are supposed to be done...you should be good. Run andOASIS on the VIN to see what issue the truck has had.

Beware of 2004 6.0's...some early 2005's... 2005 1/2 to 2007 you should be good.
