if anyone has let me know, i have the lightning midpipes and need a muffler
would anyone know which part # it is, i will try to ebay it
Dual Maggy Race Series with X pipe!!!!!!
Try a search on Maggy DI/DO should get ya a return on the number youre looking for
I picked up a 14" DI/DO polished SS Maggy installed for $125. I gave him the part number from www.Maggnaflow.com Not sure if he would ship one to you or not but his name is steve and the phone number is 405-282-6503. Cheapest I found
stew is this gonna be too loud, trying not to go overboard. i got the lightning mid pipes to the bend, got it for $100. dont know if i got ripped or not, but is it true that these cats flow better. becaus if not i will just throw a muffler in and make it exit in front of tire. also im coming from an 0hd1 exhaust.Originally Posted by bgstew6
You will be happy with a DI/DO Maggy....it wont be too loud....
Stock L mids and Harley Mids are the same...IIRC...
Now if you go with my setup of Dual Maggy Race Series and and xpipe then you are bordering on Loud...now all I have to do is put my high flow mid pipes on and I will be to the next level.
so if they are the same type of mid pipe, besides the lightning being DI, and the 01HD being (SI) what would you do in my situation. I was figuring having it cut before the y-pipe, add some pipe wdle the muffler, then make the bend for some tipsOriginally Posted by bgstew6
AHH you have an 01....i thought you had an 02.....Originally Posted by cobra94
You can slap the L pipes on... and then add the Maggy DI/DO and have it exit where ya want....

Cobra I have an 01 and that's what I did.Originally Posted by bgstew6
Unless you plan to supercharge it, I would leave it SI/DO. You may lose some backpressure and torque if you go with DI/DO. I noticed a loss of power when I installed my DI/DO Bassani before I was supercharged. Also, I don't think the sound is quite as deep and loud as it is on supercharged applications. Just something to consider.
Thats the reason im doing it, i have the supercharger sitting in the garage, and bill has my parts for the complete install, just wanted to get this on before i do the supercharger, so i wont have to re-tune it. cpharley what setup did you go with, and how does it sound?Originally Posted by cpharley
Thall how does your truck run, did you notice a difference in power, where does yours exit, and also how does yours sound?
I have the Bassani for the Lightning with 2 mufflers. It sounds great. If you have a supercharger, you are fine. It is only the n/a applications that will suffer performance loss.

I have changed my mind and decide to go with the L- midpipes, and the maggy cat back. I have called a couple of shops, and they want ridiculous money for the install $480 and up. Its just worth it to buy it outright. I will be getting it from mark at LFP, but my only question is do i need the L- maggy catback, or the HD- maggy catback, not to sure and im ready to order, but i think there the same.
