If you haven't already, trim your Bump Stops or gett some with less height, that would prevent any firmness due bottoming out. Also, if you lower below the two inch setting, it's best to install shock extenders, which will afford a bit more suspension travel.
When you say flip shock....do you meen why they are on opposite sides of the axle? If so, that's to prevent axle hop during hard acceleration, opposing forces if you will.

I wouldn't recomend flip the shocks if you don't have a traction bar,it kills the shock on the first burnout!
the shock extenders, get it from this place,Performance Parts Online for Cars and Trucks - Performance Center they are belltech and top notch quality
#2256 built in 3/26/02 - 6# lower, 377HP/483TQ before the Whipple.
the flipped shock mod is flipping the passenger side shock around so it matches the drivers side. as hoffie said, and as explained in that how-to, that mod is ONLY for if you have traction bars. stock with no t-bars the staggered shocks help reduce axle wrap. With t-bars, axle wrap is eliminated, so you can flip the shock and help improve the launch slightly in the 1/4, as well as just aesthetics.
If you're using Internet Explorer Browser, under Tools then Internet Options, then the Security Tab; check Security Level setting for each Web Content Zone. Too higher a setting can restrict access. Also make sure that LighteningRodder.com hasn't somehow become a Restricted Site. You can also make it a trusted site by selectiing the Trusted Site tab and adding it.
Figured I'd add some pics of my Belltech shock extenders to this thread since they don't come with instructions or labels for which side they go on, just a baggy of hardware.
I ran into an issue on the drivers side with the bilstein shock body interfering with the bracket before I could bolt the shock in, so I had to grind a notch into the extender to get it installed, not a big deal but something worth mentioning.

*Note the chipped off paint where I tried to persuade the shock into the mount before resorting to the grinder, I spun the shock for this picture.
I hit the bracket with black primer after I was done so it won't rust.
