    Thats the part the dealer sold me but its threaded and in the picture it appears not to be. I believe the part goes in the middle hole of truck bed and it is not threaded. My truck did not come with ext. bed option

    You're totally right,it's a soft material,you have to line the bolt up very well,and the pictured bolt will build the thread by itself,remember,do it carefully so it won't go sideways in the hole.

    Better yet,go to a shop that has the tool (tap & die) or get the one you need at Sears and build the thread before you put the bolt in,that's the only way

    hmmmm.... does that p/n include a knob?

    that's all I need, just a knob. Maybe I'll go to Home Depot and get an Oak cabinet knob...
