Bulb Replacement Procedures in Side Mirrors
So you have a blown turn signal light on your mirror. What to do?
Here is the procedure. Takes 3 minutes tops...
1- Tilt the mirror out toward you at the top by pushing the mirror in with your thumbs at the bottom of the glass.
2- Using a flashlight, you will see (2) plastic snap clips. They are hard to miss. You will need a wide blade, flat screwdriver to insert and twist to release the snaps. Don't get too frisky or you could break the snaps, after all they are the toughest plastic Ford could find.
3- Once the snaps are released, the cover should open and allow access to the bulb. Just twist the bulb base and out of the hole it should come. There is a weather seal O-ring on it so don't loose it. It should be orange or black.
4- Replace your burnt, blown, or defective bulb with a nice one from your favorite parts store. It'll cost you about $3 for 2 of them.
5- Turn on your truck and ensure that the lights are flashing properly.
6- Reverse steps 1-3 above and snap the cover back into place. It should snap in with no problems.
