C&L Intake Plenum Installation (w/ pics)

As could be expected, direct and to the point.

Disconnect negative battery terminal.
Loosen intake boot band clamps, disconnect three vacuum tubes under the boot and remove.

Disconnect Throttle body linkage and TPS sensor plug.

Remove three 10mm throttle linkage bracket nuts.
Move Throttle linkage from its mount and move aside.
Remove throttle body. (2) 8mm bolts, (2) 10mm bolts.
Gently remove throttle body gasket from the front of the upper plenum and set aside.
Disconnect all three passenger side vacuum lines.

Disconnect the driver’s side vacuum line and brake booster line at the rear of the blower.

Remove the two 10mm EGR bolts
Remove the two 8mm IAC bolts. Reattach to C&L Upper plenum.

Remove six Upper plenum bolts, NOTE the lengths.

Slowly remove the stock upper plenum and old blower upper plenum gasket. Discard old gasket and set stock upper plenum aside.

NOTE: The surfaces are soft metals. Clean them carefully.

Place the new included upper plenum gasket into position.
Starting at the firewall, begin threading all six upper plenum bolts by hand.
Once all six bolts are threaded, tighten all upper plenum bolts in two stages:
    a. Tighten to 89 in/lbs, NOT ft/lbs.
    b. Tighten and additional 90 degrees.
Reconnect two vacuum lines on driver’s side.
Reattach brake booster vacuum line pinch clamp.

Reattach throttle linkage bracket and torque nuts to 89 in/lbs.
Reattach throttle linkages:
    a. Speed control actuator cable
    b. Accelerator cable
    c. Throttle return spring.
Connect passenger side vacuum lines and vent hose.
Attach IAC and TPS electrical connections.

Reinstall the two EGR bolts and tighten in two stages:
    a. Tighten to 15 ft/lbs.
    b. Tighten bolts an additional 90 degrees.
Reinstall intake boot, tighten band clamps, and reinsert three vacuum lines.

Connect negative battery terminal and TEST DRIVE!
Does anyone have any pics for this? I just bought one used off of someone and can't figure out what a little plastic square piece is for. It got broke during shipping I suppose, and I have no idea if I am going to need it.

I bought this plenum used. It came in the original box with the four filters, silver square plastic piece, and two of the same gaskets just from different companies which the one from Ford looks used (may have been original). I know I have to use the gasket for the plenum to the blower and reuse the throttle body to plenum gasket, but I was wondering what to do with the filters and the plastic piece.

    Thanks

got a pic of the fiters? They PCV crankcase filters or something? Nothing else really goes with the C&L plenum for the install. Its a direct swapout for stock, just slightly bigger volume.
