Unhappy Does anyone know how to remove gas pedal pad??!!

When I got my 02 the brake and gas pedals pads were worn, so I got some new pads.

The brake pedal pad was a no brainer... however, the gas pedal pad is another story.

First of all I can't see much of anything... I can see from the brake side that it is attached with 2 threaded screws or bolts that were put in from the console side. I can not feel any type of screwdriver adapter on the head of the screw.

Can I remove the entire pedal and bracket from the firewall without any issues or is there an easier way to replace the gas pedal pad?

You gotta punch it in towards the center console,it's just a pin.

May I suggest unbolting the pedal from the firewall and do this on your workbench. This way there will be more room, less foul words, and better job well done!

ahhh, welcome to the hell that I lived last year. Used a good pair of vice grips to "squeeze" out that freakin pin. And decided to use a bolt & locking nut to install the new pedal (did not want to deal with that pin again). Good luck!
