    Question one touch window switch?

Anybody know how to make our window switches work as a one touch?

Currently if you press the window switch once it will go all the way down. Can we get it to do it on the way up too?

Is this an option on the Lincoln Blackwoods maybe?

I think it is in the switch itself and also has an associated Relay for it in the fuse box....

    Stew,
In my searches I saw that you had taken a switch out for BigBill when he was trying to get someone to make billet ones. Was that a single switch from the passenger side or rear doors or can you seperate the drivers side bank of four into individual switches?

My son's G/F has a 1998 Mitsu Pajero that has all four window switches as one touch both up and down. If it is such old technology, wonder why they don't make the USA vehicles with it? Probably some legal issues with kids getting stuck or something.

I'd love to get the wiring figured out and convert mine to all one touch both up and down.

yes you can seperate the drivers side....there are four window switches there and they all will pop out once your remove the plate that holds them from the door skin you will see. Like I said
IIRC there is a special relay in the fuse box for the auto window driver switch and all the others run off a seperate fuse.

The auto switch is defintely different then all the others. You can tell that when you press on it vice the other three on the panel.\\

Oh and the switch that I used with Big B was a spare single non auto switch.

yep guys have tried to throw in another drivers one-touch switch into the other spots and i dont believe it has worked.

its a very simple thing for an alarm shop to do though. Take it out to Tweeter or one of those places, even cheaper if you get it done while the alarm is installed. bsaically pretty simple wiring with relays. all my windows have auto one touch up & down now, using all the stock switches...well actually i have billet ones but you get the point

or play some jokes on the judges when they go to judge my truck at shows...maybe thats why i hardly get 1st? LoL!

The easiest way I know works is like 356 did was to put window modules on a alarm (thats what I did) and they all become one touch up and down but make sure you goto a shop that you know is good and can do the work!

    Question

    Am I missing something here?
If you put an alarm system in and get them to wire the windows with one-touch modules....can you still operate the windows with the regular window switches or does all this get you is you have to use the remote from the alarm system?
    Sorry, ...I'm lame with electrical.

no you can still use your normal window switches, as well as all your passengers can use their window switches too, but they function as one touch up/down as well, just like stock the drivers window has one touch down...well now all the windows have that feature for down AND up.

PLUS, the remote on the alarm can control the windows too, so i can put the windows up or down up to like 1/4 mile away

    Thanks Josh.
I read where you said you got your alarm guy to do yours. Do you know where he put the extra relays/modules for the other window switches? Are they in the door panels, under the dash or in the engine compartment area?

    LoL!

cayman, i've got no idea where he mounted everything because i had about 2 grand worth of other alarm crap installed at the same time so there was LOTS of little gizmo's and gadgets going in, too much for me to keep track of
i do know there's flat little window modules inside each door panel, but i dont think thats the part that controls the one touch feature. best bet would be to call a Tweeter and talk to one of their installers
