    Magnuson Instructions for Lighting pulley snout

    Does any one have the instructions for this? I think I found a snout for sale at a good price. I was thinking about switching out the coupler while I was in there too any suggestions? I know that the lower is a better swap but I do not ant to mess with it too much.

    so you would rather suck the oil out of your stock snout...then remove the belt...remove the bolts that hold the snout on...then seperate the snout from the rotor pack...then put some gasket goo on the new snout....bolt the new snout on...refill with 6 ounces of SC oil and then put the belt back on?

    Now if you got a buddy out there that has a SC pulley removal tool then you could always jsut put an L upper on. For much cheaper

    Yes a buddy that has a supercharger pulley would be great. WIll pay a deposit if needed. Or just came an help me in OKC and I'll buy you all the beer you can drink...okay maybe not all the beer but a case of quality beer will be there for you. Sam Adams, Dos X's, possible Chimay.....mmmmmmm Chimay....mmmmm beer. What are people's thought on replacing the new coupler? anyone done this?

    Easy to do....

    pull off the snout....pull off the coupler...put new one on and bolt back up...

    How many miles on the blower and how hard has it been spun....If you have been stock this for a long time...I doubt it is messed up....

    I pulled a stock blower and check one out with 50k on it and the snout coupler looked fine...

    Check on NLOC too as I know there are a few Lightning owners out your way...maybe one of them have the tool and can let ya borrow it....

    This is the coupler that I found on a previous post. I have a 02 with 55,000 bought it used at 48,000 not sure how hard it was driven.

    rolling performance are sstand up...

    I have gotten stuff from them before..

    but unless your stocker is making a racket then why bother....you can get an L upper next to nothing...check NLOC for an L upper pulley....and swap it out...

    I was told that it was off a 04. He told me it hasd 8,000 miles. Sent pic and it looks great. Told me that he went with a different supercharger set up. Hope it turns out good. The way my luck has been going lately I would not bet on it. Gotta keep the faith.

    Has nobody upgraded the coupler. I know that when I worked on Kenmore washers the coupler between the motor and tranny was always the first to go. I fugure while I am in there I might as well replace it. Kinda like replacing the belt when it is off.

    IF you want to go ahead....The supercharger is designed for 100,000 miles maintenance....and if it was 8k of stock boost levels then I dont think you have much to worry bout....wont hurt if you do.....
