    Trailer Hitch Question

What kind of trailer hitch should I get for my 2000 HD F150? My truck is lowered 3". Does anyone know if the Ford Factory one is better than the Hidden Hitch? Where is the best priced place to buy them from? Thanks!

I have a Reese receiver hitch on my 2000. All you see is the receiver tube and the safety chain plates.

No, I flipped my plug receiver.
It would be fairly easy to do, however one would have to give up there spare tire.
I have done it before and there is a couple of guy's that have done it too our trucks on other forums.

Thanks for the info-- can't lose the spare.. Need a hitch but want it subtle if I can't have stealth..

I got the hidden hitch and it is tucked up under the truck nicely, easy to install. Got it off ebay for like 100 bucks.

Not a very good picture but you can see the receiver part down at the bottom.

Draw-Tite hitch here as well. all you see is the square tube sticking out.

works fine with my 4.5" rear drop, except to remove the spare from under the truck i need to jack the truck up since the spare wont fit between the hitch and the ground hahaha

then just threw on a 3" lift tongue and towed just fine

i got one from hooper trailers in griffin. $78 + tax. looks like a hidden hitch. all you can see is the receiver under the license plate. not sure if it was specifically for a ford or not but one hole drilled per side on the back of it made it work.

i forgot how 'fun' it is always hitting my leg on the trailer ball piece =X - i've left it in there the last few days incase someone decides to follow too close... been running into a lot of crappy drivers lately it seems
