What kind of drop do I have
The ride on my truck really blows... bottoms out every time and it goes everywhere while making turns on uneven ground.
I took some pics of the rear end and as far as I can see it says Nitro on them, I was a super smooth ride so I want to do some upgrades ( budget ) with my tax money. anyways here are the pics. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

If you want to know the amount of front and rear drop you have, then take measurements of the distance from the center of each wheel to the bottom of the fender well or bottom of flares if you have an 02-03, and post the results. Most members will be able to tell ya the amount of front/rear drop you have.

Those Nitro shocks absolutley suck. Put some bilsteins on there and you'll notice an immediate huge improvement. Front and rear!
Get us a pic of the shackles and hangers, then we can tell you the exact drop combo you have. I'm guessing you have both aftermarket shackles and hangers from the room you've got left between the axle and frame even with those short bumpstops. Its probably a 4" drop. Thats at the point of needing a c-notch, or lifting the rear back up 1". Do the shocks first though and see how it feels. |

lol you'll get it dialed in eventually! Thats the hard part about buying a pre-modded truck.
I don't have a link for the extenders, somebody on here will though. As for the shocks, the screw spec bilsteins would be better if you want a softer ride. The L spec bilsteins are a bit stiffer for a sportier ride. LFP should sell them both. |

Just down teh dumbarton eh thanks... I wand a really smooth ride without having to lift the truck, I really like it the way it is ( I would want to make it lower without c-notch ) but seems not possible. Anyways, am off from work this Monday so am going to go check some blisteins and some extenders hopefully by the end of the day I have some upgrade components. |
