Stolen Truck: TEXAS Please Keep Eyes Out

Hey folks,

My buddy Dave just had his truck stolen today. It was stolen today between 7:30am and 5pm in La Porte, Tx. You can't miss it....If you see it please call the cops. Then call Dave at. (979) 412-1563.

Appreciate the help guys

I had a 89 GMC truck several years ago that was stolen twice and both times it was found on blocks and in pieces. It was stolen in July '00 at our local mall (about 45 mins south of H-town) and then again March '01 from AstroWorld parking lot.

I will keep my eyes open. Hope your friend has better luck than I had.

Roommate got his truck stolen last year. They found two Mexicans sleeping in it at a rest stop in San Marcos...on their way to Mexico presumably. Only thing lost, was tailgate and his 20's.

On a side note...two months later his Integra got stolen and found less than 24 hours later COMPLETELY stripped. All of this vehicle theft while he was fighting a case against him for being part of a "chop shop" in Austin. Eventually got the case dismissed, but karma is a b*tch

Dammit! Texas theft laws suck and I guess that's why it happens so often. Didn't he just get the motor built?

UPDATE 1700 5/21/08

Rockin' Good News! Truck has been found! It's in Houston at a Salvage yard near Almeda Genoa and North Freeway.

David doesn't know what shape it is in. He's on his way to the yard to see if he can see it as they closed at 4:30.

Will know more tonight after he calls.

David wants me to pass on his sincere thanks to everyone for spreading the word so quickly and their concern.

Sounds like it may have been just some idiots going for a joyride. Doesn't appear to be a chop shop job. Hopefully he's just missing some stereo and video equipment and can move forward.

He had full coverage also so he should be OK on that front also. Hopefully he doesn't have to go through what Bearhunter did when his truck went missing.
