I am currently in SoCal but just wanted to drop by because when I got the CARFAX for my truck, found out it was first bought/sold in HOUSTON (have an '01 AB). Then it was sold at auction and eventually found its way here to SoCal.

I know there's a couple from that area but my truck has a very unique/distinct feature that I'm sure the first owner will know about: there is a a DENT on the roof (passenger, driver side). Not too obvious, did not know about it till I washed the truck the first time. The bumper also had some scrapes/cracks but most of our trucks eventually get that. But a DENT on the roof......

So if anyone of you guys might have known/seen my truck when it was still cruisin in Houston, please give me a holler. Got some questions about how the 2" rear drop was done (looks like shackles), etc. BTW, the truck has been pampered (not too sure if it was by the first owner....Yeah, how did those tires get that BALD ( consensus at tire shop was WOT=burnouts)

been on this list for a year and just realized there was a TX section - doh!

I'm in Allen area and work in Plano. Bought this and my last few trucks from fleet dealer at Bob Tomes - paid $1000 under invoice in 12/02.

Planning on hitting the dyno at Speedworks in Lewisville some time this week or next Sat at the latest - wanna come?

Ya'll come see us some time - always beer in the garage frig.

Hey all,

New to the forum, damn happy to see that TX is represented. I'm looking to do the listed mods in my sig (have all the items) but have been told to get the FTVB done also... Where do I get this and from the list of my mods any suggestions? Don't want to go too crazy (isn't that what we all say? - he he)

Also, where is that Speedworks in Lewisville I'm in N. Dallas.

Here's mine Bone Stock 2001. I'd love to do all the cool mods,but all my extra cash is going to college with my daughter next year. Sure do like the the things the rest of you guy's are doing with your trucks though

Here's my 2003.

No mods yet but it's shortly to receive a 6 Lower, CAI, FTVB etc.

I see a few fellow Houston owners in the thread. We need to get together more often.
Some of us have joined HALO (Houston Area Lightning Owners) which has it's own website at http://www.haloclub.com/

We get together a few times a month for food and attend the drag races at Baytown and Sealy.
Come over to the site and check it out. It's always good to meet new HD owners.
