I just checked jegs. TCI makes a Streetfighter 4R 70 tranny ( pretty standard , "not for use with S/C 'd engines.") but I would say that it's prolly better than stock...maybe TCI has some R & D into building a heavier duty race 4R70 or 4R100 for the 04 -07 F-150's.
I'll look into this in the next couple days.

Without a doubt, the absolute strongest built tranny you can get is from BTS. Brian will give you a two year unconditional warranty, and dare you to break it.

i'm pretty sure the 06-07's are 4R70W. which is surprising since its such a weak tranny.

but factory tech does sell a valve body for the 4R70W, as well as a separator plate which does the same effect as the valve body, and is about 1/3rd the cost and much easier to install. Mad sells them both

The 4.6 gets the 4R70W and the 5.4 gets the 4R75W from what I have read.

I sent BTS an email. and Mad should have good input on the upgraded VB for the 4R70-75.

i know the 4R100 is about 3 times the size as the 4R70W. any idea what the differences between that and the 75 would be?

Noted that the 75 is a great upgrade for auto tranny guys. Stronger than the 4R70W by about 50lbs of torque capacity.

my 2004 Marauder has the 4R75. 03 marauders have th 4R70. it was a Ford thing to upgrade the tranny.

I gotta check if the 07 HD's have the 4R75. it's a good chance they do, but too bad it's not the 4R100.

I had read that about the Marauder. The new HD's have the 4R75 since they are equipped with the 5.4 3V engine, it would've been awesome if the 4R100 was an option for one to upgrade to but not available.

There is talk that Ford will offer a 6 speed automatic in late '08 for the F series line. Should be 1st,2nd,3rd,Drive, Over Drive,and Reverse.... lol
Basically the Drive/overdrive button goes away and you get another gear to select on the column or center mount.
