I have two sources as well but have not had time to look seriouly into it. They evn have a freebie offer to show me what they can do. I was thinking about it but then I considered having to pay an SV fee on this and the L board and because it will be all I do it will not be worth it. I can't be hangin on Ebay for autions. I hate that place. Rob let me know on a PM and I'll work with you on both funding and making it work. These guys have given me multi color samples that are flat out gorgeous!

I would really llike to see if thay can make the fan shroud in a domed gel.. but I don't know about the underhood heat/temps effacting/affecting the gel. Also I'd like to see if it can be made in 1 piece.

I am going to have him run some samples for me & see what the quality is.

Rob, a huge one like Vapor made would cost you a ton of money in materials plus if it were customized it would again increase your cost. The best way is to get a nmber of people in on it. I for one would be glad to participate. I'll get deeper into with my guy as well. I'm in the printing business so these people jump for me due to the prospect of bigger volume

    interested!

Would overlays be made for non supercharged trucks for the fan shroud??like my 2000? i think a gel overlay with just the outline of the harley emblem on black would look alot better than the blue ford emblem.....
    anybody else think so?
Physics is only for idiots that just won't accept that stuff happens and leave it at that! Physics Class sucks~!

I woould think that if we have enough people wanting the fan shroud in a set 2 or 3 patterns, the vehicle specific printing won't alter the cost that much. Heck it is 25 key strokes at the most.. other wise it is straight printing to the foundation layer & then Gel/Doming the whole shebang.

My request from this prospect was the following:

1.) select one of 3 standard log styles
    2.) VIN #
    3.) Consecutive Build/Serial #
    4.) Owner's Name or NHTOC Handle & Member #

so with that in mind the variation is not that extreme. Not like a custom logo or anything.. its simply changing the type-fields. A set up charge for the 3 standard logo//backgrounds... & go.

Anyone remember what the flat fan shroud sticker, customized for each truck went for?

Well Tow, MBO & I have a couple-three-four possible leads.

I won't let this die, I promise... its too important. I looked into buy the materials & machines/dies etc... but I don't have the time to start ANOTHER side business & the $7,500 start up cost to do it right is not practicle right now with Lil' One #2 on the way due in June '05....

I hope to have some samples by mid Dec.

Does anyone have one overlay lying around un used? I'd like to buy it if I can. Any pattern, any design, let me know what you all ahve.

    Rob,

First of all, the fan shroud sticker HAS to be in 2 pieces. There is a division on the shroud that each sticker fits into. Otherwise you would have to roll the sticker across the divide. They are also vinyal.

Second, there was also some gel stickers made for the lumbar support knobs too.
