    Cam be true

It appears Crower is stepping ( they have been out a little while ) up guy's and girl's with some Cam's. For the 4.6's and the 5.4's.......Yes even for the forced induction engine's....

just a breakdown of what they would actually do for us, pros cons, any reason to put one in a near stock truck or slightly modified truck. A lot of guys here do not know these kinds of things.

My friend had crower stage 3 blower cams on his F150, with a built 5.4, fox lake ported heads and an S trim. He also had a 4/6 drop and the truck wheel hopped like CRAZY, but thats another story.
The truck ran good. It idled pretty rough but it sounded very mean. It dosent currently run so no videos sorry guys...

    Edit..
Looking at the specs, my friend had differnt cams

His were .556 lift with 228 dur @ .050 with 114 lobe seperation...

I hate stories that end like this one. Makes ya scared to try and run a huge bumpstick in your rig. I hope his rig is down due to making it faster and better and not due to his changing of the cams or other mods. Not trying to bust yer balls bill, just letting you know of the fear I feel when reading those types of stories. The only other times I hear these type of endings is when it is a "well my Hyundai kills Vipers all day long, but it's not running right now" story!!! LOL!!!!!

IMHO, cams without heads are pretty much worthless.

I could think of a bunch of mods that would add more power for you, are easier to install, are more worthwhile of your $$ than cams. There's no reason to mess with the cams in a stock or bolt-on truck.

If you are getting your motor built, then okay, let's talk about cams.

He had problems with the valve seats in the Fox Lake heads. 1st motor broke cause the timing chain was on backwords and dident oil properly. And it broke and cause pistion to valve issues on the 2nd rebuild, and the owner gave up and put it back to stock and sold the truck.

Done correctly its a good mod, just do your homework about your engine builder.
