    Question Question on Dyno?

    I was just wondering what type of dyno are you guys getting your numbers? Dyno Jet or Mustang dynos. Just curious...

    Dyno-jet #'s here. Have been told Mustang #'s are higher and less accurate.

    Mustang Dyno numbers are lower. Never heard they were less accurate either. I kind of doubt that because if they were, so many people probably wouldn't be using them, especially in magazines.

    I think the difference is that Mustang Dynos put the load on the vehicle differently, to mimic realistic driving more accurately, IIRC.

    Yeah the Mustang Dyno puts the load on the vehicle. I went to a dyno day set up by some cobra people I know in the area and Rick @ Amazon tuned in on the mustang dyno for more realistic numbers. Just wondering because I see people on here with better #'s than me and less mods. I pulled around 350/470 on the mustang dyno. It was an extremly hot day and my intercooler pump was crapping out on me so I never did get a really good run. I'm gonna have to jump on a dyno jet now so I can get that 400/500 club. Thanks guys

    I stand corrected. Just passing on info from shops in my area. As soon as I can find one in my area I'll post #'s. Providing I can find one in my area before any more mods.
