Yeh I know I need to play with the base, but too cold to pop it off today and remove that extra piece of "black".

looks pretty good. Normally I'm not a huge fan of stubby antennas, but that one looks pretty good. I usually never have an antenna on my truck since its always covered and I forget to put it back on lol, but I may put the antenna grommet in the cover since its showing some wear there, and it wouldn't be bad covering the truck just fishing the stubby antenna through.
