okay ive heard the stockers are only good for about 70k im just over 100 and still have them...but my question is how do you know when they go out? like on the driver side i have a slight tick that i can hear all the damn time....its not an exhaust leak but it sort of sounds like it.....i had 2 dudes from ford look at it and both said they didnt hear anything.....could this be that i have a fouled pack?
it sounds like a pendulum when the balls hit the other but at a faster pace obviously haha
kinda have the same ting going on with the HD. It kinda sounds like a miss but the truck runs great and the plugs are in tight. I think its just valve train chatter as the miles go up and crud gets in there. I put in some royal purple with some lucas oil stabilizer and the sound that I was hearing got ALOT quieter. Check/re-torque plugs.
could be a plug ready to spit if its a ticking noise. The COP's dont make any noise. Time for a plug change and make sure they're torqued to 13 ft-lbs
@ 677 ive done that..... several times
@ 356 its been doing that for a while....through 2 sets of exhausts and 3 sets of plugs....its still there..... it sort of sounds like if a bearing was missing and the balls were clicking together...... when i had the splash guars off when i put the comp-r on i was listenting for leakes (cause i figured it was the old one ) but it wasnt.... the noise has been there since i bought it but never paid attention cause i always had the radio up.... i bought it with 62k and have just over 100k now so it cant be anything too bad...... so i have no damn clue
@cobra venom how much did you add?
if its been there for that long it may just be injectors ticking
@ 356 is that a big dral or is it just normal after time.....cause last night when we got my wideband on , we went to wallyworld and took tweeks truck and he has the same sound
perfectly normal. I can hear it on my trucks as well

5 qts or royal purple and 1 qt of oil stabilizer.
try it first, if it bugs you that much order some new injectors and see if that fixes the problem.
yeah brother its the injectors....now finding which one is gonna be the fun part haha
