    It was a great Christmas!

Well, I had a wonderful Christmas!

Finally got my dream bike and went for a peaceful "face in the wind" cruise. Nothing like your first time!

I must admit, I was sick as a dog with the flu a few days ago when I went to pay for the bike and collect it and the ride home was a bit hairy.

After feeling a bit better, yesterday I went out to tinker with it and found out the tire pressures were way low. The front had 10 lbs and the rear had 20.
No wonder when I was trying to get the bike home for the first time I could barely get the bike through the many round-abouts we have here.
It just felt overly heavy, sluggish and wouldn't turn in properly.

I carefully rode over to the gas station a block away and filled it up with premium gas and put 35 lbs of air in each tire.
What a difference! Feels like a totally different bike now.

Did a little 50 mile ride with some friends and everything feels and sounds nice.
Only had to tighten up the rear license plate bolts when I got home cause they were bugging me with their rattling noises.
All in all, I'm very happy with the purchase and look forward to many more cruises!

Sonic, thanks bud! I love your truck man! Wish I had the Speedstur tonneau too and a few other mods that you've tastefully done. Keep up the good work!

Life is what you make of it...and I still think mine is good!

Not all is as rosy as some may think.

We have to import just about everything. Here are some prices in CI$ where 1 of our $ equals $1.25 US$:
    $5.68 a gallon for gas,
$7.69 for a gallon of milk,
.40 cents a kilowatt for electricity + fuel surcharge - my bill averages $750 a month for 4 persons,
....and I'm lucky I found this 100th anniversary edition bike (except it's all black) to match my truck on island to purchase because there is a 45% import duty assessed on the value of the bike including freight charges.
