    Timesert the spark plug holes

    I have the cylinder heads off and the shortblock all put together.my heads have the 4 threads.Should i get the timesert kit and do both heads or leave it alone?
    the kit is $200 or so with the inserts

    Yes. That $200 is what it cost to fix one plug roughly.

    From what I heard it is. Hopefully I never have to find out. But Im going to say you'll pay that roughly in labor and parts if 1 plug blows out.

    I blew a plug a month ago and fixed it myself. Easy job, but much easier if the heads are removed. Wouldn't hurt to do it. Just make sure you use the thread locker on the inserts, and anti-seize on the plugs. You dont want an insert to come out on you later.

    Thanks for the response guys im going to order the timeserts & toolkit and do all of the spark plug threads, and hopefully i wont have to worry ever again after my full build.
