    Black Plastic Parts

I know there have been a gazillion threads regarding restoring luster to black plastic trim ... peanut butter, pencil erasers, Back-to-Black, silicon spray, tire shine chit, Armor All, 303 Aerospace, etc, etc.

In the past, I have always had best results with 303 Aerospace. I did, however, recently try "In & Out Spray" from Adam's Polishes. Adam's recently brought back this product after a few years of its being discontinued.

I am glad they brought it back! This stuff is truly great for what it is designed to do! It dries ... doesn't stay "greasy" and don't have to worry about getting over-spray on paint or windows! ... it just wipes off and doesn't leave any kind of smeary-residue crap! I love it for getting way down into A/C vents and other tight/inaccessible places!

    Check it out:

That stuff is good I used a can up in no time... It also works really well on your badges if the black is fading on them

    Even after pics will do.
How long has it been since the application?
    Hows it holding up?

Yes the chemical guys dressing is great. It's called black on black. Sorry no pictures, but the vehicles i've done the plastic turns out great. No streaking, non-greasy and a breeze to use. Also it has lasted longer then any other product i've tried, cant say exactly how long though.

I use the Adams detail spray on the outside rubber parts and it works well.

Best part... if you over shoot the rubber... you can just polish it into the paint.

Doesn't last very long, but it does deepen the look of the rubber until the next wash.

Yeah the black on black lasts longer than a week, and will last through a wash.

A while back I tried Dry Shine Black Trim Restore. Yes, the cost for the bottle is a little bit more than the spray on dressings.

I did my original application in January. It still looks good & it's still black. It's little more difficult to apply than a spray dressing.

Here's the original Dry Shine Black Trim Restore thread. If you want a real easy to apply that you need to apply after each wash...
Then this is not the product for you. If you want want something you do once & it stays looking good wash after wash after wash...

Give Dry Shine Black Trim Restore a try. Me, I'm lazy. I'd rather do it once (even if it takes longer) and not bother with it after that.

P.S. Trust me when I tell you I've washed my truck MANY MANY times since January.
