I hit a landmark lastnight omw to work and washed it on the way home. IMG_20160316_052331252.jpg not easy to take a clear pic at 65. And it says 90000 not bad for a 2000.

called a few other places and ended reluctantly taking it to the "stealership"

Picked it up and service advisor told me tech brought in some of his personal tools and a 12 hour job took 2 hours.
Talked to the tech and he said he even replaced the top bolt and tried to describe all the "flex" tools he had to use.
Gave him my card and a C note and asked for his number.

Almost 14 years, 180K+ miles and still running strong.

Bottom-line; Capital Ford in Wilmington did me well
Glad to hear they treated you right. Now days that doesn't happen a lot. Some people are just out to make a dollar.

Agree. Nice to hear you had a great customer service experience. As Bob states, it's very infrequent now a days.

changing the starter is a ***** on the ford mod motors, longtubes or not. I use about 5 feet of extensions and a couple flex bits to get at the bolts with the ratchet all the way in front of the engine accessories out by the radiator, lol

If my #1 was here, I'd have just sat back and watched him do it.

Hah just pulled the starter out of the parts truck. Was a lot easier with the a/c compressor out. Just some extensions and the 3/8 cordless impact.

As for my own truck. I put the rear true forged wheels back on her. Dropped the fronts off with the new tires to get mounted. Been a long tim since the wheels have been on her. I forgot how bad *** it looks. Falling in love all over again!

Blair, how about reposting the Pic of your bride working on your truck. Remember seeing it sometime ago and thought how lucky you are
