I bought my 2001 HD SuperCrew when it was brand new. As of today (10-Nov-2015), it has 385,550 miles...
At an average speed of 50 mph (which is probably high), I have spent approximately 7,700 hours behind the wheel.
Based on my estimated average fuel mileage of 15 mpg, it has used almost 26,000 gallons of fuel.
- 14 mpg at 75 mph, 18 mpg at 60 mph
- Original Engine except for new timing chains at 240,000.
- Original water pump.
- Original transmission, no repairs.
- New torque converter at 50,000, replaced under warranty.
- New alternator and starter at 275,000.
- Right rear axle bearing failed at around 300,000, replaced axle & bearing.
- New U-joints at 300,000
- Front suspension has been rebuilt (by me) 3 times now, almost time for the 4th.
- New fuel pump (what a ***** to replace) in April 2015.
- 6th set of tires.
- 6th battery.
- 4th set of plugs,
- original coils and fuel injectors
- at least a dozen sets of brake pads from driving in the hills of Austin (~25,000 miles per set in the hills, 80,000 on highway)
- rear windshield seal replaced in April 2015 (rear window was leaking, dried out seal is a common occurrence on older F-150's)
A couple of years ago, I installed the M3000L Lightning/HD lowering kit - it makes an incredible difference in handling on turns and quite a bargain for the performance gained:

I love this truck!
Ordered my truck 30JAN02. Took delivery 21MAY02. Now has 22,378.5 miles on her as of 13NOV15.
Your efforts are commendable but IMHO you might as well sell it too someone who will actually enjoy thr truck since these will never be a collectable. I owned a '91 GMC Syclone (#480 of 2,995) with 16,000 original miles on the odometer that the original owner pushed to the point of grenading the factory motor. He rebuilt the truck into a 10 second track truck, high-11 second street beast. It looked showroom new, smelled showroom new, and was a fvcking blast to drive. I hope to someday buy it back.

LOL. Had a friend of mine who purchased a cherry Cyclone in 1999. The truck's story ends with concrete bollards and 90+mph two weeks after buying it. He was OK the truck was junk. Not sure if there is a moral to the story here but I'd hate to see my pride and joy knotted up around a tree by a teenager.
Picked up the truck new 4 July 2002 with 5 miles on the odometer, I just broke 25k this summer. She still has never been in the rain and looks as good or better than the day I picked her up
I have had mine since late 2003 one of the best ebay purchases I have ever made.
It had 500 miles when I got it and she just turned 150000 last week.
Aloha and be safe
