    fault code 1540

    Ran a diagnostics . code 1540 shows up which is air bypass malfunction .


    ive checked all air pipes..is there something that's a usual issue to look for or any ideas ?

    Actuator itself bad?

    Search on the internet is showing a circuit malfunction.

    Air Bypass Valve Circuit Malfunction.

    So the solenoid is bad more than likely or broken wire

    do you mean the ICV ?? it idles smoothly although when cold it idles low . when warm its fine

    No, there’s a solenoid that actuates the bypass valve. if I remember correctly it’s right above it. That code probably is pointing to an open circuit

    Thanks dude.. figured it out. Wire broken just as it enters the plug. All fixed now idles a treat.. thanks.
