    TPS question.......

    Hey Guys,

I plugged the Snap-on Scanner in the truck last night so that I could figure out how to use it.
I was checking some readings and found that the TPS was only opening 91%.

Is this normal? or do I need to adjust so that I can get more

Do you mean .91V on TB with the engine off or 91% open at WOT? If the latter, I have no idea... sorry I can't help on this one.

    I mean the latter.......91% @ WOT.....

    It was weird.....at idle it sat @ 19.6% then 91% @ WOT

If it was 98% I would have let that one go....but 91% sounds like I can get a little more

You have to check the voltage at the TPS. Engine off and key on the TPS should be set at just under 1.0 Volt. Mid .9's is optimum.

I have a MAC scan tool that reads TPS on a percentage scale like yours and once you set the voltage it should peg 100% at WOT.
