    Filled silencer holes..no noticable difference.

I filled the silencer holes on my blower when I cleaned the IC. The JB weld set up hard as a rock. Its slightly louder when at WOT but didn't change the sound at idle at all. Is there another restriction? Josh, you mentioned before that my 2.75 upper pulley may be slipping, could this be why im not seeing a difference in sound?

i filed it the best I could. I even had to chip and sand a little off where my tape fail and let it bubble on the rotor side. It was in there tight as a bug! I'll take a vid of it and let you guys hear, its suppose to get up to 48 tomorrow so thats safe stomping temps.

If ur practically stock u can romp on it all u want. The smaller upper pulley may only slip at high rpm's so thats not it.

At idle, I would not imagine you would have any increase in whine as you are not in boost. Now when you get into boost, this is where you will definitely hear the difference.

The only thing I know that would increase blower whine at idle is if you had one hell of an upgraded blower on there or you had a Cog setup.

What would you consider to be one helluva upgraded blower? Magnum Powers or something else? What SC makes the most noise?

I'm talking like the 4.0L Whipple or any of those blowers that straight up NHRA drag cars use...as I have the 2.3L with an 8# lower and at idle it doesn't really whine at all...but when I get on the gas even a little...you better believe it!!!

On the throttle...I think that Whipple and Kenne Bell have a very distinctive and loud whine to them. But if all you are looking for is sound, then a filled silencer holed eaton at WOT will scream.

You have to spin it hard to get the effect.

I use to run a 10# lower and stock upper and it was crazy at WOT

I stomp on it when its anything above 40*. I just run the tune a little rich during the winter..... it evens out. I keep an eye on the wideband and its all good.

Plus, I put a lot of faith in the J&S
